“Breathe” is a song that I wrote probably 2 or 3 years ago. I heard this beat and immediately fell in love. An artist named Audible rapped over it and I knew I had to spit on that beat—I mean who doesn’t like an Amy Lee sample? I actually did and I liked the way it turned out, but I wanted someone else to rap on the middle verse. So one day this girl named Mackenzie told me she wanted to rap on it, but it never happened; and from the looks of things it never will. Years later while looking through my beats and cleaning out my iTunes, I found the original version of this song, and INSTANTLY knew that it had to be on this project. From there, I rewrote the verses and used my improved mixing techniques to bring it back to life. I called up a favor from my homie T.R.U.T.H. from the league and the rest is history.
