“Can’t When I’m Gone” is a song that I really felt like I needed to make. This girl named Bryanna actually showed me this beat one day as she explained to me how she wanted to write a song to cover this beat, but couldn’t do it. Immediately, I feel in love with the beat and the hook’s message. I had written 2 verses that I was supposed to use for this project, but they didn’t have a beat for them yet, so this song was the perfect beat. With this song, I wanted to give people a deeper insight into my life and who I am, and some things that I’ve gone through, as well as things that others deal with everyday. I want to change the world one day, and I strongly believe that if you are rich you should give most of your money away in order to help others around the world. You can’t take that money with you when you die, so why be greedy and selfish? I’d rather take a benevolent reputation with me rather than being known as a “Scrooge”.
