about

“I Will Remember You (R.I.P.)” is a song that I considered making the night that the State of Georgia Murdered—yes murdered—Troy Davis. I was filled with so much anger and hurt that night, that I feared for my own and others safety. I have always wanted to change the world, and I WILL with God as my guide. I shed tears after this because I felt like it was my duty to protect him and others from this type of treatment, and I couldn’t do anything about it all because I haven’t found my way of changing the world. This really showed you how corrupt our judicial system is. How can you take the life of a BLACK man (any one really, but he happened to be black in this case) for a murder of a police officer in which the 7 of the 9 ORIGINAL jurors recanted their statements from over 20 years ago that said that he was guilty? They went on to explain that they were coerced by the police department and others to testify against him due to racist sentiments and anger. The 7 clearly pointed out that the murder was TRULY the man who filed the police report. In order to be convicted of murder, you must be “found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt”. If you ask me and millions of people around the world, THERE WAS PLENTY OF DOUBT in this case. What I also don’t understand is how you can say that 7 of the 9 jurors’ testimony was credible enough to put him in jail for 20+ years, but it WASN’T credible enough to get him out of jail or AT LEAST off of death row? Something there doesn’t seem right. What the U.S. and Georgia State government did was selfish and ruthless, and this should cause a MASSIVE uprising in our country. I also wanted to use this song as a song to just say Rest In Peace to others that we have lost such as Steve Jobs. A GREAT, INNOVATIVE, and HUMBLE man.
