“#TheHiatus (Intro)” was actually one of the last 3 tracks made for the mixtape. It happened to be pouring down raining that day, so I went outside to enjoy the beautiful rain and brainstorm. I was listening to Papoose’s Law Libraries with hope that they would give me inspiration, but it was to no avail. I went back and forth between trying to do something futuristic (like Back to the Future) with a movie sound clip, but I felt that Back to the Future sound clips were used too often and I wanted to be more original. Then I was researching Hiatus, and I came across something that made me think, “Why not let my fans, the people who support me the most be on the intro?” Then I put it out there Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr that anyone interested could be on it, and they left me voicemails that I had to mix and make one.
